    Founded more than 50 years ago by the French Publishers Association (Syndicat national de l’édition – SNE), ASFORED is France’s leading organization dedicated to education and professional development for the publishing industry.

    Each year, ASFORED trains more than 250 apprentices across the entire book value chain and provides continuing education to over 1,500 publishing professionals, helping companies and individuals adapt to the ongoing transformation of publishing professions and content industries.

    Beyond France, ASFORED develops dedicated international programs and partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and institutions in Europe, Asia, and North America. Through these collaborations, ASFORED promotes knowledge exchange, innovation, and the dissemination of best practices to support the future of publishing in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

As both a trade association and a cultural organisation, the Börsenverein works to promote books and reading whilst also fostering fair copyright laws and the preservation of Germany's policy of fixed book prices. It also seeks to promote cultural diversity and uphold the right to freedom of expression.

    Densho-ren (Digital Publishers Federation of Japan) aims to promote the digitization of Japan's publishing culture, which is a part of its cultural heritage, and works with copyright holders to spread digital publishing both in Japan and around the world. We're involved in various projects together with our 67 member companies, including major Japanese publishers.

    To achieve these objectives, DPFJ undertakes the following activities:

    • 1. Promoting the adoption and improving the quality of digital publishing.
    • 2. Conducting research and studies on production, distribution, services, and other matters related to the digital publishing business.
    • 3. Collecting and providing information related to the digital publishing business. 4. Promoting the development of the legal and regulatory environment for digital publishing and making relevant policy recommendations.
    • 5. Facilitating exchange and cooperation with relevant organizations and institutions in Japan and overseas in relation to digital publishing.
    • 6. Supporting international exchange and the global adoption of digital publishing.
    • 7. Preserving and archiving digital data related to the digital publishing business.
    • 8. Undertaking any other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of DPFJ.
