Governance

EDRLab is an international, non-profit development laboratory created in 2015 and based in Paris. Its founding members are Editis, Hachette, Madrigall, Media Participations, the Syndicat national de l'édition, the Cercle de la Librairie, the Centre national du livre, the French State and Cap Digital.

Members elect the Board of Directors. Elected board members serve a two-year mandate, and any member can stand for election. Candidate statements are archived on the EDRLab website. The bylaws are available in English and French.

Members also advise on prospective open-source projects and other undertakings that may be submitted to the membership for approval. Through its W3C membership, EDRLab brings members' needs to the W3C Publishing Working Group.
