OREX Digital SL is a Spanish technology company specialised in open-source library systems, founded and headquartered in Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona. We deploy, migrate and maintain Koha ILS for more than 90 academic, public and special libraries across Spain and Latin America. OREX holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and is certified under the Spanish National Security Framework (ENS Grado Medio, 2026). Our current focus is the development of a digital lending platform — concept similar to eBiblio or OverDrive — built on Readium LCP and designed for the needs of public and academic libraries running Koha. The platform features patron authentication via Koha REST/SIP2, atomic one-copy/one-user availability control, four license models, GDPR-compliant patron pseudonymization, and a dedicated firewalled LCP Server deployment.
